Embark on an exciting journey this Summer with our theme “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” Get ready to explore the Easton Area Public Library and beyond through captivating programs, events, and displays that bring the spirit of adventure to life. Let the pages in our books and events in our calendar be your passport to a Summer filled with excitement, discovery, and adventure! Readers of all ages are invited to join in the fun! Summer Reading 2024 begins June 17 and ends August 17! Visit the library, read books, and earn prizes.

 

Don't miss our summer programs and events! The long days of Summer are nearly here, and so are our Summer programs & events! We're looking forward to three months of festivities and fantastic books- all for free! Special performers for this summer include Bright Star Theater, Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation, and Science Heroes. Whether you’re interested in art, sewing, coding, gaming, or just hanging out with other kids, the Library has something for everybody this Summer! For a list of all our summer programs for all ages, visit our calendar.

Summer Reading for Children!  Ages 0 - 11

Adventure Begins at Your Library! This Summer we are challenging you to read for a total of 10 hours between June 17 and August 17. If you complete this task you will receive our 2024 Summer Reading t-shirt- totally free! Read for at least an hour every week of Summer to earn the ability to vote for which books we add to the Library. Want even more rewards? Complete tasks in our Good Citizen Challenge to earn raffle tickets! Use the raffle tickets to win prizes, including but not limited to tickets to Dorney Park, Crayola, and Captured LV Escape Rooms!
 

We have tens of thousands of titles for the whole family to enjoy, from picture books and reading primers to chapter books, graphic novels, manga, and audiobooks. We are proud to provide many of these titles in more than 18 World Languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Russian, Arabic, and Swahili! While you're here we invite you to spend some time going Beyond Books by exploring our collections of board games, video games, Launchpad tablets, Exploration Kits, and DVDs. Everything can be checked out and taken home, just like our books!

Go paperless! Track your books on Beanstack

Summer Reading for Teens! For ages 12 - 18

Easton's popular Summer Reading Program for teen readers and learners is back with "Adventure Begins at Your Library!" Join the fun by logging your reading throughout the summer to earn badges and gift card prizes! Read a total of 480 minutes (8 hours) for prize #1 and read a total of 960 minutes (16 hours) for prize #2. Read a total of 1,500 minutes (25 hours) to complete the program and earn an extra raffle ticket towards a gift card grand prize. For a chance to earn additional grand prize raffle tickets, go above and beyond by joining a Side Quest! Prize winners will be drawn and notified mid to late August.
*Please Note: Every raffle ticket earned is a chance to win a gift card grand prize. Entry does not guarantee a grand prize winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries. Good luck!

Go paperless! Track your books on Beanstack

Summer Reading for Adults! For ages 19 - 109

Easton's popular Summer Reading Program for adult readers and learners is back with "Adventure Begins at Your Library!"

Join the fun by logging your reading throughout the summer to earn badges! Read a total of 3,000 minutes (50 hours) to complete the program and earn raffle tickets for gift card prizes to local businesses. For a chance to earn additional prize tickets, go above and beyond by joining a Side Quest! Prize winners will be drawn and notified mid to late August.

*Please Note: Every badge earned is a chance to win a gift card prize. Entry does not guarantee a prize. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries. Good luck!

How to Sign Up:

  1. Go to our Beanstack website.
  2. Click on "Register an Individual or Family". Or sign into your account if you are already registered.
  3. Fill in your information. Beanstack allows families to be linked together, so all members can access one login. 

The Beanstack App

Go to your device's app store, search for "Beanstack Tracker", and follow these steps:

  1. Search for Easton Area Public Library
  2. Click on our library.
  3. Follow the steps to register for an individual or family. 

How do I Log Minutes, Reviews and Activities?

  1. Visit our Beanstack website or open your Beanstack app.
  2. Click the "Log Reading and Activities" button in the upper left corner of the site or on the blue plus sign in the app.
  3. Follow the prompts on the screen to log whatever you've accomplished
  4. To log activities, go directly into the challenge, select "Bingo Card" or "Badges", and choose the activity you would like to complete.
  5. Earn a badge when you hit a reading landmark or complete a review / activity.
